Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and optionally your display name, profile photo, and social links. When you make a purchase, we collect transaction data (order ID, amount, listing). We do not store card details — payments are handled by Razorpay.
2. How we use it
We use your data to operate the Platform (authentication, orders, payouts), send transactional emails (purchase receipts, listing approvals), and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Preview sessions
When you use a live AI preview, your messages are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response. Preview sessions are rate-limited and session IDs are stored in your browser's localStorage. We do not store the full content of preview conversations.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use cookies for authentication sessions (via Supabase Auth). We use localStorage to store preview session state. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.
5. Data sharing
We share data only with the services required to operate the Platform: Supabase (database and auth), Razorpay (payments), Resend (transactional email), and Anthropic (AI previews). Each is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
6. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Deleted accounts are soft-deleted and fully purged after 90 days. Order records are retained for 7 years for financial compliance.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us. For deletion requests, note that order history may be retained for compliance purposes.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security practices: HTTPS for all traffic, Supabase row-level security for database access, and hashed password storage via Supabase Auth. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.
9. Children
Geni Kart is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the Platform evolves. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
